In Denbighshire we have a range of important habitats, that support a range of species, such as black grouse, door mice, natterjack toads and sand lizards. Limestone woundwort is found nowhere else in Wales.

Biodiversity projects within Denbighshire include: ‘habitat improvements for water voles on the River Wheeler, juniper restoration on Prestatyn Hillside, Himalayan balsam control and provision of nest boxes for barn owls’ (Denbighshire – Wales Biodiversity Partnership).
