Gardens

Coronation Gardens were developed in 1911 to commemorate the Coronation of Queen Mary and George V. To mark 100 years of Coronation Gardens a variety of specialised trees were planted. This is a lovely place for a picnic or to relax and read a book. Adjacent to the gardens we have recently had improvements made to the play area which has seen new play equipment and a little road system for small children to ride their bikes and learn the green cross code.

Ty Pendre Memorial Gardens

This garden of remembrance contains a rough stone monolith as the memorial,

commemorating those who gave their lives in both World Wars.

Hillside Gardens and Shelter

A wonderful sculpture of a helmet, embossed with sessile oak leaves.

This celebrates Prestatyn’s rich Roman heritage and the beauty of surrounding Bishop’s Wood and Prestatyn Hillside.
A short steep climb through the gardens reveals a glimpse of Uplands. Built by eccentric inventor Thomas Thorp in 1912 to incorporate a revolving dome observatory. This is the best view commanding a stunning 180-degree panorama of the North Wales coast, Anglesey, and Snowdonia.

Ffrith Beach Festival Gardens 

Acres of parkland with direct access to the beach, another beauty of Prestatyn to be found along the A548 Coast Road.

Set in 25 Acres of beautiful North Wales Coastline with direct access to a lovely sandy beach, promenade, cycle paths, and sand dunes.
